A consultation takes about one hour and includes a careful history and examination of both mother and baby. If appropriate we observe a breastfeeding session and actively work with the breastfeeding pair. After making a diagnosis we offer practical, common sense advice to help solve the issue. We recognize that each mother and baby is unique and our advice may differ from patient to patient. Return appointments are usually necessary until the concern has resolved.

One of us is available 24/7 for phone support as well as in person consultations in the hospital

and office 7 days a week. We also have evening appointments several nights a week.
