MD, FAAP

From a very young age, I wanted to become a pediatrician. As a child, I received a doctor’s kit (many of you remember the blue plastic box, the red little candy pills, the plastic shot and hammer and, of course, a red stethoscope) almost yearly.
As a teenager, growing up in Westchester County, volunteering at Lawrence Hospital on the children’s unit, reaffirmed my career path. After attending Manhattan College, Universidad del Noreste in Mexico and the New York Medical College, my pediatric training took place at North Shore University Hospital – Cornell. General pediatrics was always my interest, especially the emotional and psycho-social well being of, not only children but also their families. Joining Pediatric Associates of Norwalk and Darien in 1991 was an easy decision as this philosophy was second nature.
Over the years we have included these supportive services to help families and enhance the well being of parents and children. The community is extremely important to me and, therefore, I have participated in many community boards, organizations and advocacy roles. Many of you may know the American Academy of Pediatrics. This organization is not only advocacy for children and their families but also for pediatricians. I was President and Vice President for the Connecticut chapter for 8 years and continue to be involved. I have participated in many hospital activities at Norwalk Hospital being on the Medical Executive Committee, the Credentials Committee and Pediatric Executive Committee. Currently, I am on the AAP s Section on Practice and Management. This section is responsible for finding innovative ways to provide quality, consistency and comprehensive success in Pediatric Practice. I also sit on several Pharmaceutical Committees.
I am wonderfully supported by my family. My husband Michael Holloway is in Construction Management and Development in New York City. My son Alec and my two stepchildren, Jane and Sam. Our nanny, Letitzia, has been with us for over 15 years.

Many doctors know they want to be a doctor from a very early age. For me that was not the case, I have always had a strong interest in both medicine and the arts. As an undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania, I majored in both architectural design and biology. After college, I further pursued my “artistic” side and received a Master in Architecture from Columbia University. I worked as an Architect in New Canaan and Greenwich for several years before starting my family. However, soon after becoming a mother, I decided to pursue my true love – medicine. I attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx while continuing to raise my young family. My husband and I have been long time Fairfield County residents living with our two sons in Greenwich and then North Stamford for over 20 years. After medical school, I was a pediatric resident at the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and soon after joined The Center for Advanced Pediatrics as Medical Director of the Nightingales Breastfeeding Support Center and a primary care pediatrician.
In addition to being a board certified pediatrician, I am an internationally board certified lactation consultant. (IBCLC) As both a pediatrician and a mother, I’ve recognized the necessity for health care providers that understand the importance of breastfeeding and can support families to have successful and positive breastfeeding experiences. How perfect it was to find a home at Advanced Pediatrics – a place where this kind of support has been an integral part of the practice for years.
When I have free time, I still enjoy architecture and graphic design. I use those skills to create and manage the TCFAP website and Facebook pages. I love to travel and anything to do with technology. I’m involved with several foundations, including Circle of Care for Families with Cancer, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Academy of Pediatrics section for Breastfeeding, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, AAP Section on Breastfeeding and AAP Section on Office Administration & Management. Babies fascinate me! I chose to pursue a career in Pediatrics after completing my rotation during medical school; I witnessed a level of care I had not seen anywhere else. The physicians’ passion and commitment to great patient care really inspired me. Children are so resilient and I love being able to interact with them every day! My goal is to provide great healthcare to children and their families and have a special interest in adolescent medicine.
I was born and raised in New York, and graduated from Albany Medical College in 2013. I completed my residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine- Jacksonville in June 2016.
During my free time, I enjoy baking, running, and spending time with my loved ones.
