Tele-Well Visits and Updates from TCFAP

We hope you, your family and friends are well in these unprecedented times.

We have been advised by the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) to continue well care especially for the most vulnerable; children less than 2 and those children due for their scheduled vaccines.  There is great concern that serious diseases preventable with immunizations may re-surface due to this unprecedented COVID situation if we do not maintain vaccine schedules.

To keep your child healthy and protected, schedule an appointment and then complete any pre-visit screenings necessary. We will send those questions to your portal before your tele-well visit.

To keep in line with TCFAP innovation and to meet comprehensive care needs, we will be conducting these well visits in two parts:

Part 1 will be with you or your child who is over 13 via our Tele-Well option. One of our clinicians will go over all the pre-visit questions, preventive anticipatory guidance, review with you any concerns that need to be addressed, complete any psycho-social/developmental inventories, and review the results with you.

Part 2 will be a scheduled “drive-up” option where vital signs, a brief physical exam, and administration of vaccines will be completed.  If labs are needed, you may schedule a follow-up nurse visit once this pandemic recedes. You also can choose to have Part 2 administered in the Norwalk office where we are only seeing well or non-COVID type appointments.

If your child(ren) are due or missed their appointment, you may call to schedule these appointments or you will be receiving a call from our admin staff.

Our behavioral health staff have been busy attending to many children experiencing emotional distress from this situation. If you or your child need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will assist you as best we can.

If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to call us, schedule a tele-health visit, or contact us via the portal.  We are here for you and your children.  Please be patient as some of our staff and their families have had issues to keep them at home.

Stay safe, be well, wash hands often and we will all pray for a speedy recovery from these unprecedented times.
